This morning, Guo Guangchang represented the Zhejiang Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai to attend the 8th World Qin Business Conference in Xi’an and gave a formal speech at the meeting. At the meeting, Mr. Guo talked about “Fosun’s layout plan in Xi’an, the use of global high-quality resources to build Xi’an, and also talked about the talent training plan... etc.”, then how Fosun will work with Qin Shang to help Shaanxi in the future development of? Next, the editor will share immediately, let’s listen to Guo Guangchang’s speech at the 8th National Qin Business Conference~
The following is the speech of Guo classmates meeting
I am very happy to be invited to participate in the 8th Qin Business Conference and gather with friends from home and abroad in the ancient capital of Chang'an!
As the president of the Shanghai Zhejiang Chamber of Commerce, I would like to express my warm congratulations on the smooth convening of the 8th Qin Chamber of Commerce on behalf of the Zhejiang Chamber of Commerce and all Zhejiang merchants at home and abroad! The Shanghai Zhejiang Chamber of Commerce was established in 1986 and currently has 8 directly affiliated branches. From 33 member companies in the initial period to more than 15,000 member companies today, it has contacted and served more than 600,000 businessmen in Shanghai and Zhejiang.
Zheshang has invested in many projects in Shaanxi. For example, Fosun Group invested in Yong'an Property Insurance, and built Tianmao City in Ankang City for targeted poverty alleviation. We recently built a "cultural and tourism honeycomb" in Xi'an. In addition, Shin Kong Group has built the "World Apple Center", and Chint Group has built rooftop photovoltaic power generation projects in Xi'an. These are very large projects. I would like to say that the Zhejiang Chamber of Commerce attaches great importance to the fertile soil of Shaanxi. Today we will sign a strategic cooperation agreement with the Shaanxi Qin Merchants Association, hoping to jointly promote the development of Shaanxi with Qin Merchants.
Xi'an is much cleaner and the air is much fresher
When I came to Xi’an this time, I felt that Xi’an was much cleaner and the air was much fresher. I have heard a sentence in several places: "Xi'an is more beautiful if the cigarette butts don't fall." Xi'an is indeed more beautiful than before.
My first relationship with Shaanxi was in 2004, and I remember that it was the first "civil priest" as the priest of the Yellow Emperor's Mausoleum. I was very excited at the time. This event was not only an honor, it was in line with Fosun’s corporate culture of “self-cultivation, family, career, and helping the world”, and it was connected with my dream, which is “to family and to help the world”. Enterprise, loyalty and filial piety to the nation". I hope that through such activities, we can condense the national spirit of Chinese people at home and abroad, and work together to create an enterprise that can compete with world-class enterprises, strengthen private enterprises, serve the country by industry, and rejuvenate the Chinese nation. This is what Fosun has always been committed to doing.
Since then, Fosun has been looking for development opportunities in Shaanxi. Until 2007, when we cooperated with Yongan Property and Casualty Insurance, we started to deploy in Shaanxi. Thank you for the trust of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government for handing over the management rights of Yong'an Insurance to Fosun. Fosun deeply feels the great responsibility. We fully respect the opinions of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Shaanxi Province, and introduce the current management team through a market-based mechanism; in addition, we have also introduced a market-based mechanism within Yongan Insurance to fully mobilize the enthusiasm and motivation of employees. Stimulate the vitality of the enterprise. In recent years, Yongan Insurance’s achievements are obvious to all. Last year, Yongan Insurance’s premium income exceeded 9.1 billion yuan, with a net profit of more than 640 million yuan. It has achieved an industry leading position in the field of Internet auto insurance.
It is Shaanxi’s open and inclusive attitude and market-oriented mechanism that have rejuvenated Yongan Insurance. Our cooperation with the Shaanxi SASAC is very pleasant. As a professional property insurance company established earlier in China and a financial institution established earlier in Shaanxi, Yongan Insurance must seize market opportunities, deepen the reform of state-owned systems and mechanisms, accelerate the pace of listing, and make full use of the vitality of the capital market to grow itself. To be the largest and best financial institution in Shaanxi!
Let Fosun's global resources be used by Xi'an
Shaanxi has a unique location advantage. It was the starting point of the Silk Road in history and today is an important node of the Belt and Road Initiative. Xi'an and its surrounding areas in Shaanxi are developing very well, but there are still some impoverished areas. I have always felt that we must have a sense of social responsibility when doing business. I had a proposal at the CPPCC meeting, suggesting that the government further encourage and support more private enterprises to participate in poverty alleviation and industrial poverty alleviation. Poverty alleviation is not only a matter of the party committee and government, but also one of the focuses of enterprise development. Fosun started from the industry and implemented poverty alleviation through the implementation of industries and projects. For example, our Tianmao City logistics project in Ankang High-tech Zone has already paid over 60 million yuan in taxes, which indirectly drove nearly 100 million yuan in taxes. We have fully investigated such a project. Ankang is rich in selenium-rich products, but due to the inconvenience of transportation and logistics, it has always been in a state of being "raised by a boudoir."
We value Ankang's role in aggregation, radiation, and driving force in the Qinba Mountains, and we want to build Ankang into a regional modern business and logistics center. At present, we have held three "Selenium Expos" with a total contract value of more than 10 billion yuan. This is our masterpiece of precision poverty alleviation. The provincial party committee and the provincial government fully affirmed us. Ankang City also awarded us the honor of an advanced poverty alleviation unit.
In my mind, Xi'an should be a world-class city. It has been in history, and it should be today. Everyone came to Xi'an, not just to see a terracotta warrior and horses, but to eat a lamb bun. Xi'an has such a rich history and culture, and such a good location advantage. It must have a global and international perspective, and use global high-quality resources to develop and build Xi'an to create a new business card for Xi'an as an international city! Xi'an has the first inland port in China. This "model of moving the port into Xi'an and building an inland port" is a pioneering path for the globalization and internationalization of an inland city. Fosun has many successful practices of grafting global resources into China's driving force, and has unique advantages especially in tourism. We have Club Med, and we have opened six or seven in China; we have Atlantis in Sanya, and soon we will have Cirque du Soleil performances in Hangzhou.
Fosun's strong strength in the integration of global tourism resources can be combined with Xi'an's genetic advantages in tourism to create the business card of Xi'an as a world-class tourism city. We are advancing the construction of Xi'an "Cultural and Tourism Honeycomb"-Daming Palace "Dahua 1935" project, creating a new business card for Xi'an as a tourist city and a new landmark of urban cultural and tourism. We must actively explore the integration of international high-quality resorts with Xi'an characteristic ancient buildings, and incorporate elements of Qin and Tang culture into Cirque du Soleil performances, so that Fosun's global resources can be used by Xi'an.
Support more young people in Xi'an to start their own businesses and innovate
Xi'an is an important center of education in the Midwest, with many excellent scientific research institutes and scientific and technological talents. A comrade in Xi’an told me yesterday that Xi’an’s university resources ranked fourth in the country, and scientific and technological talent resources ranked third in the country. I immediately became interested in such a powerful scientific research motivation and so many outstanding talents. It can contribute to the construction of Xi'an and Shaanxi.
Recently I have been emphasizing the importance of technological innovation and R&D investment. Why do you say that? Because I really feel that global technological innovation and technological innovation have reached a critical point and breakthrough point. The core point that supports the development of the enterprise in the future is technology, and the foothold of technology is talents. Since its establishment, Fosun has been an enterprise focusing on cultivating young talents.
In recent years, in addition to focusing on the cultivation of internal talents, we have paid more and more attention to the use of commercial means to support the innovation and entrepreneurial activities of young people around the world. For example, the Protechting project jointly launched in China and Europe has attracted the active participation of young entrepreneurs from all over the world. . We are actively cooperating with the Xi'an Municipal Party Committee and Government to jointly plan a youth talent innovation and entrepreneurship competition to support more young people in Xi'an to start their own businesses and innovate, provide them with a high-quality innovation and entrepreneurial environment, and turn talent advantages and technological advantages into industrial advantages .
Finally, I believe that Zhejiang merchants and Qin merchants are by no means Zhejiang people or Shaanxi people in a narrow sense. As long as they are rooted in this land and have the spirit of Chinese entrepreneurship flowing in their blood, they are important to help China's economic development. power. I wish the Shaanxi Chamber of Commerce better and better!
Thank you again for the invitation of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government, thank you everyone!
