About us
Shenyang Hongqi Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. was established in 1964 and has been dedicated to the research, development, production, sales, and service of antituberculotic drugs since the 1980s. After more than 30 years of relentless efforts, it has provided high-quality medicinal products and services to over 15 million tuberculosis patients.
In 2010, Hongqi Pharmaceutical became a member enterprise of Shanghai Fosun Pharmaceutical (Group) Co., Ltd.
With the mission of "freeing humanity from the burden of tuberculosis" and the vision of "becoming an international pharmaceutical enterprise for antituberculotic drugs," Hongqi Pharmaceutical adheres to innovative development and continuously increases investment in research and development. As a medical transformation innovation base of the China Anti-Tuberculosis Association, an innovative drug research and development base of the Shenzhen National Clinical Research Center for Infectious Diseases, a Liaoning Province Enterprise Technology Center, and a unit for the Liaoning Province Intelligent Manufacturing Innovation Achievement Transformation Project, the company continues to focus on technological innovation and pharmaceutical research and development. Centered on patients, it fully supports China's tuberculosis prevention and control efforts.
In recent years, Hongqi Pharmaceutical has successively introduced products such as rifampicin for injection lyophilized powder, isoniazid injection, and linezolid tablets, and has developed the domestic Class I new drug PA-824, providing more medication options for tuberculosis patients.
Hongqi Pharmaceutical has built a new tuberculosis drug production line in accordance with WHO PQ standards, improving product quality and production capacity to meet the needs of over 5 million patients. It has also conducted consistency evaluations of the quality and efficacy of multiple major products and obtained WHO PQ certification. All antituberculotic drugs have passed the generic drug consistency evaluation, with pyrazinamide tablets, isoniazid tablets (0.3g), and rifampicin capsules (0.3g) being approved drugs in China.
The antituberculotic drug series produced and under development by Hongqi Pharmaceutical covers over 90% of the drugs mentioned in tuberculosis treatment guidelines, including key drugs for the treatment of both drug-sensitive and drug-resistant tuberculosis. Hongqi Pharmaceutical is also actively promoting the localized innovation of second-line antituberculotic drugs, focusing on the domestic market while looking globally, contributing to the goal of ending the tuberculosis epidemic.
In response to the national call, in 2016, Hongqi Pharmaceutical raised funds to establish the China Anti-Tuberculosis Association Antituberculotic Drug Supply Coordination Reserve, effectively ensuring the domestic supply of antituberculotic drugs and meeting the needs of national tuberculosis prevention and control.
In early 2016, Hongqi Pharmaceutical, together with the Fosun Foundation and the China Anti-Tuberculosis Association, launched the "Double Thousand" project to assist impoverished tuberculosis patients. This project lasted for five years, with a total investment of 5 million yuan, covering 31 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions nationwide, providing assistance to over 5,300 impoverished tuberculosis patients.
In May 2017, Hongqi Pharmaceutical and the Beijing Tuberculosis Diagnosis and Treatment Innovation Alliance jointly launched the "Chuying" project, aimed at cultivating more young talents in the field of tuberculosis therapy. As a standing council member unit of the China Anti-Tuberculosis Association and a council member unit of the Beijing Tuberculosis Diagnosis and Treatment Innovation Alliance, Hongqi Pharmaceutical is bound to play an active and important role in tuberculosis prevention and treatment.
In 2017, Hongqi Pharmaceutical was awarded the titles of Shenyang Science and Technology Little Giant Enterprise and Liaoning Province Shenyang High-Tech Enterprise. In 2018, Chairman Yang Bo was named one of the first 100 "Most Beautiful Anti-Tuberculosis People" nationwide, and Hongqi Pharmaceutical was recognized as a China AAA Credit Enterprise. In 2019 and 2021, Hongqi Pharmaceutical was listed among the Top 100 Private Enterprises in Technological Innovation in Shenyang.
In December 2021, Hongqi Pharmaceutical and the China Anti-Tuberculosis Association jointly launched the "Double Health" project, aimed at public health education on tuberculosis and the cultivation of health professionals. The project will be implemented over five years with a funding of 5 million yuan, caring for 2,500 drug-resistant tuberculosis patients and providing health education to 5,000 people from 2022 to 2027.
In the future, Hongqi Pharmaceutical will rely on the construction of the Hainan platform to deepen its focus on the urology and andrology product line, building production and sales capabilities. It aims to become an important part of Fosun's "Health, Happiness, and Prosperity" vision for a happy life and a high-quality supplier of domestic products for a happy life.
