Cui Li pointed out in her speech at the event that since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, tuberculosis prevention and control has achieved a new leap, and the tuberculosis epidemic in my country has continued to decline. It is necessary to fully implement Xi Jinping’s new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics, strengthen the work of detecting, treating and managing tuberculosis patients, and achieve the goal of ending tuberculosis as soon as possible.

About 500 people including tuberculosis prevention and treatment experts, representatives of provincial tuberculosis prevention and treatment institutions, representatives of relevant international organizations, and tuberculosis prevention and treatment publicity ambassadors participated in the event.

On the 23rd, Peng Liyuan made a special trip to Ezhou, Hubei to inspect the situation of tuberculosis prevention and treatment in rural areas. In Xiaomiao Village, Peng Liyuan cordially visited and condoned tuberculosis patients, inspected the village clinics, learned about the status of grassroots tuberculosis prevention, and condolences medical staff who are carrying out tuberculosis prevention and control publicity work, and exchanged tuberculosis prevention knowledge with villagers who came for consultation.
